Pronounced E-Y. Blended Japanese wh**ky from Mars Komagatake (fka Mars Shinshu) in Nagano, Japan. It’s their spin on a bourbon-styled wh**ky.

* 70% corn and 30% malted barley
* Barley distilled twice in copper pot stills
* Aged 2–5 years in ex-bourbon barrels; non-age statement
* Proofed with granite-filtered Alpine water from nearby Mt. Kiso-Komagatake
* A nose of chocolate-covered shortbread precedes a palate of brown sugar and ripe pear with confident structure; a whisper of red fruit appears on the finish

The Glenrothes Wh**ky Maker’s Cut is inspired and shaped by the hand of Master Wh**ky Maker, Gordon Motion, using only the finest first-fill sherry seasoned casks and bottled at his preferred strength of 48.8% ABV.

Resinous, orange, baking spice and blackberry notes on the nose. The palate is rich and creamy with baked sweets, exotic red fruits and earthy nuttiness. The finish is long and fruity, with orange peel notes and a hint of nutmeg.

Wh***ey of the Week: Early Times Kentucky Straight Bourbon Bottled In Bond

Nose: Very young smelling with some ripe red fruits, licorice, sweetened dried pineapple pieces that you get in trail mix, and some alcohol. Wisps of oak and vanilla.

Palate: Very light on the palate and the floral fruitiness carries through to the sip.

Finish: A bit of peppery rye spice kicks in on the back end and just slowly fizzes. Short finish.

Wh***ey of the Week: Sagamore Spirit Rye Double Oak

This is straight rye wh***ey (which was our W.o.W back in February!) for 4 to 5 years in high-char new American oak barrels and then aged wh***ey into toasted wave stave barrels for an additional 18 months. The increased surface area of the low-char, medium-plus-toast staves imparts Double Oak’s delightful caramel, toffee, hazelnut, and toasted coconut.

This is the flagship wh***ey for Wilderness Trail. When it launched, it was the first bottled-in-bond wheated sweet mash bourbon released since Prohibition.

Mashbill: 64% Corn | 24% Wheat | 12% Malted Barley

Color: Rich, unfiltered deep amber
Nose: Sweet vanilla and charred oak
Taste: Caramel and vanilla, leading to a cordial meeting of oak, cinnamon, and blood orange with a palate-coating mouthfeel
