In case you missed it!!! We don’t use the Corporate Truck company - and when we shared that, we got a LOT of comments saying whatever, we just use a different distributor. And of course we do!!! We have 10 locations and we have to get the ingredients here. We use an awesome family owned distributor called GFS Gordon Food Service and we love them. They’re not just our distributor, they are a true partner and they help us find and source local products for our stores on top of everything else they do!!! And they would NEVER try to push us toward some lame thing just to make more $. Sourcing ingredients and making our own food is a really big part of what makes Fry the Coop Fry the Coop. Example - our awesome Meadowvale, Inc. milkshakes which we would never have found without GFS!!! So thank you!!!!! And to anyone still watching and reading this, thank you for caring about what we do - it means the world and we are grateful to keep sharing it all with you ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Restaurants don’t have cash in them overnight!!!! Leave us alone!!!! I was already up at 4am today because I had something important to do - so when I got the call from the alarm company at 6am, I pulled up the cameras and basically watched these guys break into our Portage Park store in real time!!! Like a livestream of chaos and all for nothing. Burglaries like this create so much stress, work, and expense for small businesses. We have to repair the doors, the locks, the glass, replace our POS system, repair the hookup for that system that broke, bring people in early, open late, and so much more. We are all hands on deck to fix this right now (shoutout to our team!), and we will get up and running this morning as soon as we can. And if you do come in to get a sandwich today or soon, please say thank you to our team they are awesome!!! Thanks everyone ❤️❤️❤️

What a weekend!!!! We had the best time at Tender Fest and we got to meet so many friends in the fried chicken world, which was awesome! Shoutout to our team for working so hard and serving up about 8000 pieces of fried chicken! Love it! And thanks to all of you, we managed to take home the People’s Choice Award! So thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed some fried chicken with all of us. Same time next year??? 🏆😍🔥

I put myself out here on the internet every day, and I am lucky to get a lot of love (thank you!!!) but I also get a LOT of hate 🤣🤣🤣 and some of the comments are just hilarious. We get more of them if a video goes super viral, so you’ve got to take the good with the bad I guess!!! And our team loves to screenshot the funniest ones and we really get a kick out of them. We’ve had a lot of guests since we launched our new hot chicken caeser wraps and we’ve also gotten a LOT of comments, questions, and feedback!!! A ton of you love it and that’s awesome. We’ve even had people come every single day since it launched (thank you!!!).

Of the feedback we’ve gotten, there are 2 main areas:
-Something is missing or could be improved (amount of cheese, dressing, tightness of wrap, etc.)
-Why isn’t it online yet??

And these are actually related!!! We are aiming for perfection every single time but we are not there yet. We’ve done a ton of training and have a lot more to do too. We are also listening to all of your feedback and working to make the wraps even better!!! And then once we nail it and get fully ramped up in the stores, then we will add them to online ordering.

Our team is working super hard and we won’t stop til this is the best hot chicken caeser wrap you’ve ever had!!! Love you guys and super happy to be able to make these wraps come to life. THANK TOU!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

No shrinkflation here!!!! We work with real food which means every piece is a little bit different. And we work really hard to keep them as consistent as we can - like we have a certain spec for our chicken breasts (6oz, with max 1oz variation!). But even still, a long and skinny 5.5oz breast will look a lot different on a sandwich than a short and wide 6.5oz breast. When you’re holding food in your hands, it’s a big difference. So please know, we work REALLY hard to keep things consistent while working with REAL FOOD ❤️❤️❤️ thanks for watching!!!

Let’s talk about some of the complexities of sourcing real food - featuring our French fries!!! As you might know from our emails, potatoes are harvested once a year. We get ours from right here in Illinois!! And while the 2025 IL potato harvest started out strong - part way through the year, the fries were super starchy which made them look burnt. And we started getting a LOT of complaints. Which was totally fair!

When you’re working with real food, it’s never going to be exactly the same from ingredient to ingredient, or from month to month - but this was too big of a change. So we had to make a switch , which of course is easier said than done!!! We ended up sourcing Idaho potatoes for a second, which were better but not great - and finally we ended up with Nebraska potatoes for the remainder of the year. Until earlier this month.

The 2026 potato harvest is IN and it’s looking GREAT!!!! We are super excited to Illinois potatoes back in action. Come try em dipped in our new Large Ranch!!!!

Working with real ingredients has its complexities, like these, but it is always worth it. Yes it would be easier to buy frozen fries and they would always be 100% the same. But that’s just not what we do! ❤️❤️❤️
