Meet Jessica Lovay, Sr. Program Manager, Community Investment! 👋

Jessica has been part of the NLEA team for 12 years, helping communities across Northern Michigan turn opportunities into lasting investment.

One project that stands out to her is the façade grant program she administered in downtown Cheboygan. In 2017 and 2018, Simply Marcella’s/The Queen’s Head and Creation Station invested more than $650,000 in their buildings. Those improvements helped spark additional investment throughout downtown Cheboygan, creating a “snowball effect” that contributed to the vibrant downtown we see today.

Jessica is also optimistic about Northern Michigan’s future—and for good reason. From housing developments and business expansions to relocations and new investment, projects are happening in every county across the NLEA region, and the momentum isn’t slowing down.

When she’s not working to move the region forward, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, attending community events, cheering on school sports (Boyne Tough!), fishing, and trying out Northern Michigan’s great restaurants.

We’re grateful to have Jessica’s experience, community knowledge, and passion for Northern Michigan on the NLEA team!
