Real Tennessee Pit BBQ - All our BBQ is slow smoked right out back in our apple wood pit smoker. We use our own brown sugar based rib rub and keep the fire low and slow for hours producing the most succulent, fall off of the bone rib the South is famous for.

Tomorrow we hand over the keys, the smokers, and the sauce… and close one incredible chapter of our lives. After 27 years of smoke, sweat, laughter, tears, and more BBQ than any two people should legally eat, we’re officially RETIRING. ❤️🔥🍹

Pat built Chase Creek Smokehouse from a dream in 1999, and together we’ve weathered just about everything imaginable — including the total loss fire on April 23, 2012, just three weeks after we started dating. The only things that survived were the door handles… and apparently our stubbornness. 😉

We rebuilt bigger and better, reopened in 2013, and even surprised everyone with our wedding at the car show in 2015.

Over the years, we’ve made lifelong friends, watched staff become family, and shared so many unforgettable moments with all of you. To every employee past and present, THANK YOU. You helped make Chase Creek what it is.

To our customers: thank you for supporting us, celebrating with us, and keeping our tables full all these years. We are forever grateful.

As for us? We're trading smoke for sunshine, running shoes for flip flops, and work boots for wandering feet. As we start this next adventure — splitting time between our new home in Baldwin, our cabin on Drummond Island, and somewhere tropical every winter — we ask one important thing:

Please continue to support the new owners and especially our amazing staff. They are the heart and soul of Chase Creek, and we know they’ll continue making this place special.

This goodbye is bittersweet, but it’s time for us to finally slow down, live together full-time after almost 11 years of marriage 😄, and enjoy the life we worked so hard for.

Thank you for being part of our story. It’s been one hell of a ride.
