Newgrass Brewing Company resides in heart of what many people know as the “City of Pleasant Living,” otherwise known as Shelby, North Carolina. We draw on our farmland surroundings, traditions and local heroes for inspiration while striving to maintain our own unique and progressive brewing concepts. Just as the “newgrass” music genre was a progressive take on a very traditional style of music in bluegrass, Newgrass Brewing Company strives to do the exact same by blending renditions of traditional styles with deconstructed and reinterpreted progressive brews that have no borders.
