It's Monday, November 14 at 2:00am (Sunday night for all you revelers) so this will be our "first" last post. And for once in my life, when I thought about it a week ago, I knew exactly what I wanted it to be. Months ago, I was lucky enough to capture this three second video. And it's the only time I ever caught his image.
Here's the back story:
This is Leroy and he hates the spotlight but he can't argue now. For over ELEVEN years he's had my back. He's one of the hardest working members of my staff. Leroy is also my wife's personal favorite. So much so that she answers when he calls when I go to voicemail. He never sits still. When he's not cooking, he's cleaning. He watches inventory and makes sure we only serve the freshest items prepared the proper way. He monitors all the equipment and makes sure it operates properly and cleanly. And when there's nothing left to do, Leroy goes home and takes care of his mother.
He's not just an employee, he's a brother to me. Plain and simple. And one day, he's going to take me to Ho***rs to watch football. He's been promising me for years.
