It’s never easy to walk away or to say goodbye. Change is a tough pill to swallow. We as humans do everything in our power to make things work, especially when you put all of yourself into something. All of your time, your heart, your energy, your resources, your sacrifices, and all of your soul. But sometimes despite all of your efforts, it’s still not enough.

So with that we are here to announce that we are permanently closing Pop the Top. Our planned last day will be Dec 31st. We are eternally grateful for the countless memories and friendships that have been forged throughout the years. Birthday parties. Birth announcements. Engagements. Spontaneous dance parties. Pet adoptions. Doggie birthday parties. Baby showers. Post wedding brunch. Tap takeovers. Post Rail Trail Cleanup meetup. Book clubs. Promotion celebrations. Retirement parties. Bottle shares. Community engagement gatherings. Run club. Halloween parties. Etc…

These are just a snippet of memories and laughter and good times that have echoed throughout our walls over these last 9 years. We set out to be a place that would allow you to be yourself. Whether it was a happy moment or a sad moment. To feel like you belonged. To be seen. To feel comfortable. To be heard. You could have gone to any place throughout Charlotte to spend your time and money, but you gave us a chance. In a tiny little Mom & Pop spot in the heart of South End. And for that we are eternally grateful and thankful🙏🏼
