Charlotte showed out for the StrEATs Tasting Tour.

Big love to for bringing together chefs and vendors from all over the city—each stop was a reminder of how much talent is packed into our neighborhoods right now.

From longtime favorites to new names making serious noise, every bite delivered. We held it down at the Resident Culture booth, pouring beers all day and sharing samples of our while making our rounds (strictly for research). Safe to say Charlotte’s food scene is hitting a new level.

Appreciate everyone who came out to support, grabbed a beer, and shared a plate or two with us.

Already looking forward to the next one!

Maddash, our neighbor in the Market, teamed up with us before their last day in the space (yes, they’re moving 😭 but don’t worry… they won’t be far).

Introducing the Mad Resident 🥪 — pulled pork slow-braised in our Half As Lonely Stout, an imperial-ish pastry stout inspired by our Lonely Universe & Twice As Lonely BBA series. Brewed to be extra drinkable and crushable, with creamy coconut and bold cocoa nibs that bring rich and stouty depth to every sip and in this case, every bite.

Here’s how you do it:

👉 Pair it with a draft pour of Half As Lonely at our bar

We’re excited to team up with Sagrada Michelada — one of the 2025 HIIVE members and an immigrant-first business dedicated to sharing authentic flavor and heritage with the Carolinas.

This weekend, we’re serving our classic Island Time, a Mexican lime lager, topped with Sagrada’s scratch-made michelada blend for the perfect pour.

Join us Saturday (11/22) for Sagrada Michelada tastings from 11am–3pm. We'll be behind the bar with micheladas flowing all day, 11am -10pm.

🌯🍺 Food & Drinks are how we connect - and this pairing tells a story 📖

This collaboration is rooted in connection 🤝 — bringing people, flavors, and stories together. We partnered with Serengeti Kitchen 🍽️, Charlotte’s first Tanzanian restaurant, whose mission is ‘Connecting Cultures Through Food.’ Their samosas (vegan 🌱 or beef 🍖) are handmade with the same care and tradition Chef Ammalu learned at her mother’s side — blending heritage with community.

We paired them with N.A.R.C. — Non-Alcoholic Resident Culture — our way of making space for everyone at the table. Creating a high-quality NA beer has been a long-term goal for us, and now we’re proud to offer two styles: Lime + Sea Salt 🍋‍🟩🧂and IPA 🍻
