Update: These past couple months has taken a huge tool on not just us, but to Uptown in general. Unfortunately, this evening will be the last night of service at The Wooden Vine. We are so thankful and lucky for what we gained in this experience. We thrived on being a gem in the heart of Uptown - hidden behind the titans of corporation. We treated service every evening as if we were throwing a dinner party with friends. We want to thank everyone for the constant support throughout the years. We loved having you as our guests🥂

We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to lack of support our City Center Partners have showed. We have fought (for months) with no prevail to have the City of Charlotte open the streets to allow more outdoor dining however, like anything with the city, they drag their feet while small businesses suffer. This seems to be the trend for Charlotte as we all know how much business was lost in 2016.

COVID-19. The introduction of this virus has sent shock waves through our world, and it has already begun to have a VERY REAL effect on our economy. This is very concerning time for many small businesses in our local community. We have employees who count on us to deliver a paycheck that covers their rent, groceries, electricity, etc. We have our own families to provide for and businesses to keep running.

We know this is scary, and we know we are all going to do our part to keep this contagion to a minimum. Because your health and safety are of the highest importance to us, we are revisiting the frequency and thoroughness of our sanitizing protocol throughout our restaurant.

We hope that in the next few weeks or even months that this plays out, you still visit CLT's small businesses. We hope that you continue living your lives and support the businesses that need you the most. Stay safe. Binge some Netflix and come drink some wine!

We want you to know that The Wooden Vine is continuing to be the safe and healthy destination you have grown to expect.

We are currently taking the following precautions:

We have added increased frequency of sanitizing all surfaces and communal areas. All touch points (doors, faucets, etc.) are being cleaned after every use.

We've added additional handwashing and glove procedures for our staff. Our staff has also been advised (as always) to be in touch with us before coming into work if they are feeling unwell or if they have been around anyone exhibiting symptoms so that we may make necessary decisions.

Moreover, we are in contact with our local Health Department and are implementing any guidelines they suggest as well as additional safety measures.

The health and well-being of our guests, staff and community are of upmost importance to us and something we take seriously. We do not feel that eating, drinking at our establishment is a risk to anyone and is as safe, or safer as it has been for the last 9 years. We hope you will continue to eat, drink and support our small, locally owned business.
