I would like to thank everyone for the kind comments and accolades for The Liberty. Matt Pera and I started out as colleagues in 2000 at Upstream in Southpark and became great friends. We always wanted to create a Neighborhood Joint with good food and Drink, and we did! Our staff over the 10 years did it and we are so honored to have worked side by side so many dedicated and fabulous people.

I will miss everyone of you, and I will miss our loyal fans and Craft Beer Lovers in Southend. I truly hope that everyone remembers what we did at The Liberty in Southend.

For Immediate Release:

The Liberty South End would like to announce we will be closing our doors in an effort to reorganize effective immediately. Our decision was based on our desire to maintain the high quality of standards you have come to know and expect from The Liberty.

We have been honored to serve the people of Charlotte for the last 10 years and are very grateful for both your love and support. Every effort is being put into continuing the legacy we started in the South End at our Blakeney location. We hope you will continue to join us there as well as at our French Restaurant Lumiere.

Thank you again for your long standing patronage. We have been honored to call you not only customers but friends.
