Queen City Comedy brings Fake Adults and a rotating guest team to Fonta Flora for a night of completely made-up comedy.

No scripts. Just audience suggestions, big characters, ridiculous situations and plenty of laughs.

STEINFEST
// a stone-boiled smoked autumnal-style lagerbier 

Crafted in collaboration with our lager-making homies at Zillicoah Beer Co. of Asheville, North Carolina. Mashed with a purposeful blend of local pilsner and munich malts along with a pinch of smoked and dextrin malt. Boiled in our dainty, open top oak foeder with local granite rocks, set ablaze with local oak and cherry wood. Utilizing the blazing hot rocks as a driving force to achieve color, we did not use any dark malts in this beer. Fermented cool with our preferred house lager yeast strain. Lagered cold for a long maturation period until crisp and crushable.

Perhaps our favorite time of year to pair beers with weather, this iteration of a festbier pairs perfectly with late night roaring fires, foggy sunrise boat outings and a local brat, nestled inside a salted pretzel bun. Prost!

This delicious brew will be hitting shelves at our Charlotte taproom on Friday, 08/28!

KUDZILLA
// an invasively delicious west coast-style india pale ale brewed with local kudzu flowers and hopped with loral, nelson sauvin and simcoe.

Mashed with local two row barley malt along with a dash of flaked oats and dextrin malt for a boosted bod. Steeped on heaps of kudzu flowers provided by the folks at The Kudzu Stand of Marshall, North Carolina. Fermented with our preferred house ale yeast for a decidedly dry and incredibly quenchable finish. Hopped intensely in the whirlpool and the fermenter with a grape aroma-favoring combination of loral and nelson sauvin and simcoe.

Known as “the vine that ate the south”, this invasive species has completely transformed the southern landscape. Boasting an intense grape big league chew aroma, kudzu flowers offer layers of floral complexity to this creative, end-of-summer west coast crusher.

GANDER [APPLE/CINNAMON/VANILLA]
// a bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout conditioned on apple leather, cinnamon, and vanilla.

KUDZILLA
// an invasively delicious west coast-style india pale ale brewed with local kudzu flowers and hopped with loral, nelson sauvin, and simcoe.
