Msgr. John L Manning Division AOH

Msgr. John L Manning Division AOH The AOH has a history that goes back many centuries. You can learn more about the AOH and our Irish history at the National AOH's Website, www.AOH.com.

The Ancient Order of Hibernians is a Fraternal Organization open to any Catholic men (or ladies in the Ladies AOH) who can trace any of their roots back to Ireland. The first South Carolina division in recent times, Horry County Division 1, was formed in a small room at Shamrock's Bar and Grill in Myrtle Beach, SC, January, 1996. The state's AOH has grown steadily since then. In 2003, the Horry Co

unty Division was renamed the Joseph J. McGarry Division 1, Ancient Order of Hibernians, in honor of one of the Division's members, a police officer, who was killed in the line of duty. From that single division in 1996, the AOH in South Carolina has grown to have ten divisions, a County Board and a State Board. The divisions are located in Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Columbia, Greenville, Fort Mill, Spartanburg, Berkley County, Summerville, and 2 divisions in Bluffton. There are now 370 divisions in the US. We participate in Friendship, Unity and Christian Charity activities and promote a better understanding of the Irish heritage we so proudly have. We would love to have you join us and if you don't think you're Irish or Catholic enough, consider becoming an Associate member. For more information about membership, click Divisions to contact any of our South Carolina locations with any questions.
