It’s not just a bar, it’s a tradition!!

My name is Tammy Bell and I am the owner/operator of Ike’s Bar and Grill - located at 459 Lincoln Avenue, Charleston Illinois. Ike’s has been a Charleston and Eastern Illinois University landmark since the 1940’s when it was purchased by Ivan Kennard.

I was born and raised in Charleston, Illinois and an Eastern Illinois graduate. I began working at Ike’s, where I met my husband Brandon, while attending EIU. Brandon and I have two sons, Reece and Luke. After graduating from EIU, I pursued other employment opportunities then early 2016 I purchased Ike’s and began restoring the business back to its original looks and traditions.

I am a member of the Charleston area chamber of commerce, Eiu athletics sponsor, I support many community organizations such as Shriners, FFA, Food Pantry... just to mention a few. I am also a supporter and contributor to many school and EIU activities.
