If you spot one in your garden, admire it from a distance! Assassin bugs can deliver an extremely painful sting, but they rarely bother people unless they’re handled or accidentally disturbed. They’re beneficial predators, so I always leave them alone to hunt Japanese beetles and other garden pests.

Fresh mint, just beginning to bloom. 🌿✨

The leaves are at their most aromatic, the tiny flowers are drawing in pollinators, and every stem promises the bright, refreshing flavor of summer.

It’s one of my favorite moments in the garden, when beauty and flavor meet.
