Hi friends,

We all know it’s a rough world out there right now, especially for small businesses, and *especially especially* for bars that are small businesses. Our goal with opening Blue Dogwood’s bar has always been to support Blue Dogwood vendors (and to have some cold beer and many good times along the way). We’re dedicated to paying a living wage, to supporting other small businesses, and to bringing you the most delicious and local beer and cider in the area. (Our wine is pretty tasty too.)

But we also have to make the numbers work, and two years in is when they should work, but they’re not working right now for a handful of reasons. As such, we’re taking some time to refocus our thinking and how we can achieve our goals. We’re changing because of a changing world yes, but we’re also changing because *we* need a change.

We’ll keep your updated on our future plans. Till then, we’ll be working on figuring it all out. Thank you for your friendship and support, always.

In a recent frosty development, James Creek Cider House is selling slushees and we’re all about it. Till we figure out the secret formula to sell at Blue Dogwood, take a road trip to try it straight off the farm!

Solar Flare from James Creek Cider House is a brandy barrel-aged cider with a hint of peach. Blue Dog Bar will be sampling it this weekend during our Upcycled Holiday Market + 2nd Friday ArtWalk on Friday night and CH’s Holiday Parade on Saturday. Bottles for gifting also available.
