The Casual Pint of Chapel Hill turns 6 in December! While we would love to celebrate this milestone, regretfully, we are announcing the permanent closure of The Casual Pint of Chapel Hill this December. This difficult decision has been made with mixed emotions after careful consideration of our business operations versus the financial costs, which are simply too high for us to continue operating our business at the same standards we are so proud to have served this community.
When we started this venture, our goal was to provide a gathering spot for the community to come together over excellent craft beer featuring a large selection from local breweries. Our hearts are full as we feel we have accomplished this goal. Thank you, Chapel Hill and surrounding areas, for showing us your support in achieving this goal, whether you came by to watch a game, catch up with friends and neighbors, meet colleagues, or enjoy a date night.
The magic was realized when so many of you felt that this was your home away from home and supported us week after week. We were so honored that you voted for us to win Chapel Hill Magazine’s “The Best of” awards every year for Best Beer Selection, Best Place to Watch a Game, and, for the first time this year, Best Wings!
Our current staff has been our best yet, and we could not have provided this level of service without them. Thank you, Ashley, Dave, Doug, Hanna, Jonah, José, Michelle, and Paul! Your hard work, passion, and dedication have kept the community coming back week after week.
We hope the memories shared within our walls bring you as much joy as they brought us. Though this chapter closes, we carry immense gratitude for everyone who made The Casual Pint more than just a place to drink a beer.
While we don’t have a final day set just yet, we are thinking mid-December, so please use up your rewards and gift cards soon. We would love for you all to stop by to say goodbye and have one last beer with us.
