Greetings fellow pipe smokers, we hope all is well with you.

The dog days of summer are upon us and those that cannot smoke inside the home find themselves in a tough spot. No problem, we have you covered at Dragon's lounge, air-conditioned comfort with great ventilation.

With the influx of newer attendees, just as a reminder, there are no dues or membership costs associated with attending the pipe club meetings, but individually we need to financially support the cigar lounge for providing a great venue for us to meet. Purchasing ci**rs for ourselves or maybe someone deserving in your family, buying libations to consume makes it possible for a cigar lounge that does not carry pipe to***co and pipes to benefit from hosting us. At some point, Perry the owner might carry pipes and pipe to***cos that we can purchase to help in that end, but frankly, even if that does happen profits are razor thin when it comes to pipes and pipe to***co. Honestly, the cigar smokers allow the rent and electricity to be paid.

Historically, we as a club have always been good about it, and never wore our welcome out, but visiting a to***co store in San Jose Ca., a proprietor told me about a situation that resulted in him not welcoming pipe club meetings, and I really did see his point.

Don't forget about the Thursday meetings at Cigar Inn in Phoenix at around 1 PM.

Recently I was asked about how we started as a pipe club and when...I cannot give an exact date but it was in the Fall of 2014, so we are going into our 12th year.

Greetings fellow pipe smokers, we hope that all is well with you.

I am looking forward to seeing you all, as of late I have been travelling quite a bit for work...
Speaking of travel, if any of you are travelling to Denver this summer and are looking for pipes and to***cos, I can heartily endorse Edwards Pipe And To***co in Englewood Colorado.
Recently while there I saw a lot of to***cos that I have not seen in years, and a lot of blends that disappear in a few hours when the big box online retailers post them.
They do have an online store, but it is hard to navigate and in the short time I decided to lurk, I did not see a fraction of what they have available.

I suppose that they are committed to supplying local customers and not looking to have a global customer base.
It is always good to plan on checking in on such places wherever you go, and it is worthwhile to even ask at a local smoke shop. A buddy of mine went into a smoke shop some years back and asked the guy if they had any tinned pipe to***cos, but he could tell the proprietor was not "getting it" when he pointed to the bagged super value.

He pulled a tin from his pocket and the proprietor told him, yeah, I have a big box from the previous owner, but nobody bought it. The owner walked in the back room and came out with a big box of rare to***cos and sold them all for $5 a tin!
Never hurts to ask! ;)

Greetings fellow pipe club members!
It looks like the Southwestern thermostat is pe***ng upwards for our May meeting, so please come and join us for a comfortable air-conditioned smoke! In regards to those that have not come in quite a while, it would be good to see you and touch bases on how things are going!

Last month for a trial run at the former haunt worked out well, and the staff was welcoming and appreciated our visit. Going forward, we will stick with this venue. Please reach out and let me know of any concerns, but I think that not having stairs, and more comfortable chairs that accommodate the whole group is a plus, and might allow some that have not come in recent times. Parking there is always a hassle, but there is not much to be done about that, the Asian market produces a lot of shoppers and it just is, what it is.

If anyone has any special requests on a particular blend that they would like to try, be sure and let us know, we will try to accomodate.

The Las Vegas Pipe show is five months away, and will be here before you know it.

New attendees over the age of 21 are always welcomed, no dues and we promise not to haze anyone! ;)
