We are proud that Koh-I-Noor Indian Restaurant & Lounge is a locally, family-owned and managed restaurant with roots from the Champaign-Urbana area and authentic recipes from Northern India. Ujjwal Ghimire owns the restaurant and manages it along side of his brother, Sanny, mother, Mina, and father, Chef Hari Pratap Ghimire. Chef Ghimire started Sitara Indian Restaurant in Urbana and was the head chef. Now, Chef Ghimire is the head chef at Koh-i-noor Indian Restaurant. With 35 years of professional cooking experience our Chef knows how to properly prepare and season foods to satisfy your cravings.

Thank you all for voting to your favorite Kohinoor since 2015. We had won again 2026 people's choice award continue for 11 years. Thank you all for your love & support... we family are so proud that to have such great & honest customers since that long.. and always making us number 1 Indian restaurant in town.. you all are more like our family.. we will be celebrating tomorrow i.e. on Friday 11th September 2026 starting from 5pm. A cake cutting ceremony will be held, and we would be delighted if you would join us for this special occasion at your preferred Kohinoor restaurant & The photo shoot will be there as well!
