It is with a heavy heart that we are sad to announce that Helen’s and The Grove will be closing in early November 2023. As a regional landmark for over 50 years, it is hard to say goodbye, but the end of an era is upon us. Our family would like to thank you for all of your patronage, support, and memories, but it is time for us to move on. I know Mimi would be proud to know we kept her legacy going as long as we could. I want to emphasize my great appreciation to the community of Chadron for sticking with us through hard times during the pandemic and afterward. We continued to adapt to hold up Mimi’s dream, and the hard work she put in as a restaurateur and established community member. She took people in, as a local business owner, that needed a great environment to work in. She saw the potential in everyone who came through her door looking for work, with no judgment. Though only 4 owners over the last 50 years, two being family, it is with great sadness that we have made the difficult decision to move therefore closing our family business. The restaurant is for sale at a reduced price, which is generous considering the years of accumulated worth including the land and the patronage that follow it. We would love to see the legacy continue. Please contact us with any interest. We will be holding a farewell gathering at Helen’s The Grove on November 18th for staff and anyone who cares to attend, and have one last great experience at Helen’s! ( With emphasis on anyone who has been a part of this great establishment’s history.) We hope to see you all there. Watch for the event announcement through our page. ....as our employees embark on new career paths, that date may fluctuate, or hours could be limited..... I'll try my best to keep our hours up to date.
