Hey everyone, Evan here.
It is with a heavy heart that I announce that due to sudden and unexpected circumstances beyond my control, I have made the difficult decision to close The Lost Mesa Grill, effective immediately. The key contributing factor has been the continually rising cost of goods. I do not wish to sacrifice the quality of food I am serving to this community. I also do not want to have to raise prices to offset these increases. Over my last 20+ years in the industry, the increase in operating costs for small restaurants has been unprecedented. It has unfortunately become unsustainable for many of us.
It's been a great experience to be a fixture of our community, as well as an honor to provide meals and memories for Cedaredge. Thank you all for the love and support you have shown us over the years. You will be greatly missed.
A huge thank you to my staff for all of your handwork and for being the heart and soul of this place. Restaurants are a team sport, and the Grill would literally have been nothing without your dedication. I truly do not have the words to express my thanks to you all. The responsibility of a business owner to their staff is a serious one. I am truly sorry I am not able to continue running this business at the level you deserve for all of your hard work. I love you guys and I will always be grateful that you were a key part the Lost Mesa Grill’s journey. I wish you all nothing but the best in your futures.
We hope everyone will continue to show up and support the other small businesses and restaurants in both Cedaredge and Delta County. Communities need restaurants- food is a love language. And I think we can all agree that it never hurts to serve up a little more love into the world. ❤️
With Gratitude,
Evan
