I have been contemplating this post for a very long time and the dread has deeply set in. I sincerely apologize for not being more transparent through the challenges we have experienced. The truth is I was trying to find any way possible for a different outcome. Moniker 86 Social Club has persevered several tragedies in trying to start up a restaurant and unfortunately, we weren't viable enough to survive. My own ego has struggled in letting my dream go, but more than that, I didn't want to let any of you down! I recently had a close friend tell me that when one dream comes to a close, you create another one. And that is what I did, my friends! I recently started working at Reds Alehouse in North Liberty as the Assistant General Manager. I am so grateful for this opportunity and would love to see all your faces again!

This weekend, Reds Alehouse will be running a couple specials that I created. We will be featuring a creamy Crab Rangoon Dip with crispy wonton dippers or you can get a Crab Rangoon Flatbread! Additionally, we will be featuring a Lavender Bee's Knees! (Purely unadulterated or spiked with Uncle Val's botanical gin for a delicious adult frosty beverage!) These specials will be available from 4pm Friday through close of business Sunday.

After an unforgettable journey, we are thrilled to share that construction has commenced and we are gearing up to reopen our doors to the corridor! Get ready to indulge in our unbelievably amazing food and savor the most spectacular craft cocktails once again.

But that's not all! We have some incredible news for you. The Moniker 86 Mansion will soon offer a one-of-a-kind experience where you can actually stay the night in our Air B&B! Immerse yourself in the charm of our establishment and create lasting memories during your visit.

We understand your anticipation, and we're pleased to announce that our expected opening date is set for later this fall. Stay tuned for more exciting details as we draw closer to the big day!

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support throughout our journey. Without your loyalty and enthusiasm, this reopening wouldn't be possible. Hello to all of our Moniker 86 fans out there! We apologize you have not heard from us for a while. We didn't want to give anymore updates 'till we had things figured out on our end. It's with our deepest sorrows to tell you we have made the very difficult decision to move on from Moniker 86 Social Club. We know we have many fans and we want you all to know we did everything in our power to bring our space to you again. After many roadblocks, we have came to the realization that life is taking us down a different path at this point. As of yesterday our building is on the market. It is our greatest hope that the future owners will continue in our vision for this beautiful building.

Please take a moment to look at the transformation that we, as a family, made to this building. We poured our heart and soul into this chaper of our lives and did 100% of the work ourselves. We could not have done it without you. Thank you for all the support we have received from this amazing community!
