🍷 A Taste of South Africa 🇿🇦

Last night’s wine class was a beautiful exploration of South Africa’s rich winemaking history and the distinctive character of its wines.

One of the most fascinating stories was that of Pinotage, South Africa’s signature grape, created in 1925 by crossing Pinot Noir with Cinsaut. Learning the history behind this uniquely South African varietal made tasting it all the more meaningful.

The wines we experienced were elegant, expressive, and unmistakably individual. Each glass offered a glimpse into the influence of climate, soil, geography, and winemaking tradition a reminder that wine is truly a reflection of place.

What I love most about these classes is how they encourage us to go beyond simply drinking wine. We learn to understand it to recognize how different regions and climates shape a wine’s aromas, flavors, structure, and personality, while continuing to develop and refine our palates.

Every class opens the door to another part of the world, one glass at a time. 🌎🍷

🍕🍷 Pizza, Charcuterie & Wine Stop In Anytime!

You don’t have to wait for a wine tasting or special event to come enjoy Christina’s A Wine Boutique!

We’re now offering Black Box Pizza, a clean and simple organic pizza that I’m excited to bring into the shop. The gentleman behind Black Box Pizza has supplied his pizzas to many wineries and recently relocated to Ocean Isle, North Carolina.

What I really like about these pizzas is the focus on clean, simple, quality ingredients. Even the sauce has a story it comes from Rhode Island. 🍅

Come by, order a pizza or one of our charcuterie boards, choose a glass of wine, and make yourself comfortable. 🍷🧀🍕

And here’s something else we’re happy to offer...

Would you and a few friends like to come in during the week and stay a little later to enjoy the experience?

If you have a group of 4 or more people, just give us a couple of days’ notice. We’ll be happy to work with you and, when possible, extend the shop hours for your group.

No class. No scheduled tasting. No special occasion needed.

Sometimes you just want a good pizza, a beautiful charcuterie board, a glass of wine and a comfortable place to sit with friends. ❤️

🍷 And that’s a wrap on our Wine Tasting Season! 🇬🇷✨

What a beautiful way to close it out! Tonight we featured Greek wines that were soft, aromatic, beautifully clean, and carried such a lovely, balanced acidity. And what a turnout! ❤️

A heartfelt cheers to everyone who joined us and helped make this season so special. 🥂

Now… onto Wine Dinners next month! 🍽️🍷
We’ll also continue our wine classes, with all upcoming events available to sign up for online.
