Happy New Year to all of the Black Dog Family! An immense thank you to you all, for the many years filled with many memorable instances. I’m writing tonight to officially inform everyone that, if ya haven’t heard, I have sold the Black Dog to Brian and Darlene Skarupski. I was waiting to announce when I knew what the new name of the bar would be, but can no longer wait for a new year is upon us, and I haven’t been able to get him intoxicated enough to tell me... but what I do know is that, whatever it happens to be called, it will always be home to me and to many of you as well, I’m sure... So here’s to us, and as we raise our pints and glasses tonight, be sure to continue to love one another, be ever mindful, and remember the Black Dog. Have a wonderful New Year! wholeheartedly, Tj

Seafood Festival is today and tomorrow! Matt “Harmonica Legend” Sky will be rockin’ & bluesin’ it down at some ish time this afternoon. If anyone wants to come help out with some bartending duties, that would be much appreciated in the form of beer;)
Tomorrow I’ll get some pals to come do some acoustic sets throughout the afternoon. Rob Coe , I need you come out and bring a few friends;), this maybe my last Seafood Fest.... Thanks Y’all!

Art fest is upon us yet again with great weather, a street full of vendors, and in the afternoon come chill out with us here at Black Dog over a cpl cold beers, mighty tasty sangria, and live music starting at 4 with Richy Stano!
For Easter , Saturday April 15th, we are going to be having a late night boot scootin' revival! Snake Blood Remedy will be treating us once again with their take on some old skool country/western bluegrass! Show starts after dinner at 9...

This weekend, March 10th AND 11th, at the Black Dog, I have two shows set up for your after dinner drinking/smoking enjoyment! Starting with Friday, we will have house favorite... Cami Lundeen soulfully tantalizing us only the way that she can!
AND for Saturday, it is truly a pleasure to welcome Snake Blood Remedy for their Black Dog debut. Think old skool country western, folk, bluegrassy gritty bliss! Plus she picks the jo, probably should have just said that!
Both shows will get going between 830-9, so get your eat on, then come get you some...

Tomorrow's night, Saturday February damn 25th! Cami Lundeen Singer/songwriter originally by way of Seattle, now a Florida transplant! If in the area, well worth the drive to come in for a cpl beers/sangrias, a cigar, and best live music you done heard in a while... after dinner show start tunes 830ish... Yeah buddy!

Happy New Year all! I know it's almost the middle of the month, was waiting for everyone's hangover to wear off...
Having a few events coming up, starting with tomorrow evening. A true blues ensemble is going to be in, show time at 8. Not even sure if they have a band name, but they are friends that get together here in Cedar Key every January to catch up, hangout, and rock the blues, with Island Matt on the helm blowing on the harpoon!
On February 11th, Black Dog will be celebrating its 7th year and hosting one of our favorite people on guitar, Richy Stano! If you've never gotten to experience him, you should mark the date and come treat yourselves. A Sangria shot with every beer purchased, and we'll try to squeeze in a corn hole tournament weather permitting. Should make for a great day!
And to wrap up February on the 25th, we will have Cami Lundeen belting out all of her favorites and some of mine... Leonard Cohen anyone? She is most definitely one of a kind, if you haven't heard, better ask somebody!
Weather has been awesome all week here, and today is even better with the high getting close to 80*! Look forward to seeing you all soon. Work hard, then come play and relax harder!
