Last Friday set the bar high. The crowd showed up, the music delivered, and Downtown Cedar Falls was buzzing all night long.

Now we're doing it again! Join us this Friday for Live to 9 featuring Sideshow Bob, bringing a mix of '80s, '90s, and newer rock hits to the River Place Plaza. Grab dinner, enjoy a drink, shop downtown, and settle in for another great night of live music.

The music starts at 6pm. See you there!

Today is the day!

Our first Live to 9 of the season kicks off tonight from 6-9pm at the River Place Plaza with Tumblin Dice. This event would not be possible without the support of our sponsors, Rite Environmental Inc. and Alloy Custom Jewelers!

We're excited to unveil a fresh online home where you can find event information. A huge thank you to Pixel Labs for their incredible work bringing this project to life.

Tonight's event features food vendors Chocolaterie Stam, Tropical Sno, and Chick-fil-A, but we also encourage you to explore everything Downtown Cedar Falls has to offer. Grab dinner, drinks, dessert, or do a little shopping before, during, or after the show and support the many local businesses that help make our downtown district such a vibrant place.

Kicking off the season with a bang 🎸

Join us at the River Place Plaza on May 29th as Cedar Falls’ own Tumblin Dice takes the stage for the first Live to 9 of the season! From 6–9pm, expect a high-energy tribute to the legendary Rolling Stones — spanning the raw blues grit of the late ‘60s to the massive arena rock anthems of the ‘80s.

We’re looking for volunteers for the first Live to 9 of the season at the River Place Plaza! From set-up and stage crew to beverage serving, greeting guests, and more, volunteers help make these nights unforgettable. 🍻🎤✨

Sign-ups are open now. Come help us make this the best season yet! 💛

Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Volunteers will receive a T-shirt and free drinks during their shift. Tips will be donated to the River Place Neighborhood Association to support future programming at the Plaza.

The River Place Neighborhood Association is honored to carry forward a summer tradition that means so much to this community. This year, just as in years past, Live to 9 is made possible when many people come together to make it happen.

As we step into this role, we want to be open about what it takes to make Live to 9 evenings happen. While the concerts are free to attend, each night includes real costs, like paying musicians, stage and sound equipment, licenses, insurance and more. On average, each event takes about $4,300 to produce.

We're committed to keeping this concert series thriving and invite you to join us. If you love Live to 9, you can support the series by:
