Men's League continued with so-so weather but the course was in decent shape as teams continued trying to separate themselves from the pack. Here were the week 2 results:

New Heights (B/D) 2
Sparks Auto Care (B/D) 0
--New Heights is known for the stable of young thoroughbreds but this week they brought out one of the old guard to help get them a win. Brad Hickox, playing with his grandson, came in to keep big Mo going with a win over the always tough "Hot" Rod Sparks. His grandson, Owen Ramsey, didn't want gramps outdoing him so he shot an even lower net round to take down John Murphy by 1 hole in the other match. New Heights will be tough to beat if they keep this kind of consistency up.

Markwell Funeral Home (B/D) 2
Darad Inc (B/D) 0
--Markwell found its footing after an unusually slow start (for them) with 2 wins over Darad Inc in the B/D matchups. Josh Stivers was the star this week shooting a sparkling net 32 in taking down Ethan "Ex" Hale. Hale came off a tough first week to shoot much better as he'll be a tough matchup as the season goes on. Jeremy "Jimmy" Hendrix was solid with a net 36 in getting past one of the strongest newcomers to the league in Michael Chism.

New Heights (A/C) 1.5
Bolin Enterprises (A/C) .5
--New Heights continues its early season dominance against the expansion franchise Bolin. As do most teams when they first enter the league, Bolin is working themselves into a good team but still looking for that right mix. Kieffer "Orange" Julius showed he'll be a huge asset to the CW HS team this fall as his play continues to impress, shooting a net 38 to slide past Trevor Chumley "the waters" who made his '26 debut with a decent net 40. In the other match, Avery "Audie" Murphy battled Mike "Bo" Bohannon to a tie as these two heavyweights of the links traded blows. It fittingly ended all even.

Markwell Funeral Home (A/C) 1.5
BP Coins (A/C) .5
--Billy "Belt" Sanders was the star of this night, and he needed all of it to beat multiple Club Champion and Senior Club Champion Brad Parker. Parker shot a gross 38 (net 36) but ran into a buzzsaw with Sanders carding the night's low net 28. He better enjoy it for now as that handicap will be dropping like a stone in a pond. Colin "Curly" Neal took on Trey "T-Bone" Huisinga and both players won 3 holes to finish in a tie.

Snedeker Insurance (B/D) 2
Bolin Enterprises (B/D) 0
--Snedeker is that team that fools you. They have an off night here and there and then it's like they decide it's time to turn it on. Turn it on they did in these 2 matches as team namesake Chris Snedeker smoked the CCC for a net 31 and a victory over another newcomer in John Whitacre. Dick Hawkins continued his steady play taking the 2nd match over Taylor "made" Wallace.

BP Coins (B/D) 1
Team Stoutin (B/D) 1
--Stoutin has become a team that the league is gunning for each week with the success they had in '25. But they seem to meet the challenge as they split matches with BP in the B/D matchups. Zac "attack" Richardson has started off '26 in great fashion as he carded another victory in just getting past the always formidable Randy Austin "Powers". Rick "Lone" Wolfe kept BP in the middle of the pack with a hard-fought victory over CCC employee Dave Davis.

Hometown Butcher Shop (A/C) 2
Snedeker Insurance (A/C) 0
--Snedeker didn't see quite the success in the other 2 matches but it wasn't because of a lack of good play. The brought in a secret weapon in "Stonewall" Jackson Maulding who didn't get the win but made a statement that he's here to compete as he shot a smooth net 36 out of the gate. Terry Yates fought him off on this night though with a very nice net 35 to eke out the win by 1 hole. Randy "Thurman" Munson got the other win for Hometown over the Ice Man himself, Glen Isley.

Sparks Auto Care (A/C) 2
Team Stoutin (A/C) 0
--What the other side of the Sparks lineup couldn't do, the A/C boys took care of business in getting the team an overall 2-2 finish. Derek "Leather" Belt went to 2-0 on the young season with a tight takedown of team captain Doug Stoutin as both players shot sub-net 35's. Drake "Garden of" Edens also picked up another win with a sparkling net 30 in beating the always tough Zach Tipsword.

Hometown Butcher Shop (B/D) 1
Darad Inc (A/C) 1
--In the one crossover match (B/D vs A/C) of the week both teams played well as two standout CW athletes from just a few years back made their debuts. Andy Edwards was Darad's only victory of the night as he took down Noah Livingston who traded his basketball shoes for golf shoes and showed he'll be a load as the season wears on. In match two, Kenneth Munson got his first victory in league, beating a dangerous athlete in "Saving Private" Ryan Richards. Richards has the making of a golf superstar if he stays with it.

Low team Net point for the week went to Markwell Funeral Home who shot net 28, 36, 35, 32 (131)

Standings after Week 2:

New Heights Crane Service 7.5
Snedeker Insurance 5.5
Hometown Butcher Shop 5.5
Markwell Funeral Home 5.5
Team Stoutin 3.5
BP Coins 3.5
Sparks Autocare 3.5
Darad Inc 2
Bolin Enterprises 1.5

Men's League for 2026 got underway this past Wednesday as the league welcomed a newcomer team with many ties to the CCC! Bolin Enterprises rejoined the league after several years away, giving the league 9 teams with lots of new players and many of them younger (which is great!). With the 9th team, the format changes slightly but is still very similar to past years. Here were the first week's results.

New Heights Crane Service (A/B) 2
Darad Inc (A/B) 0

--The young guns of New Heights Crane picked up where they left off from last season with a solid result from their top players. Kian Garver showed how dangerous he should be going into his senior year for the CW golf team as he came out of the gates with a solid net 37. He took on Spencer Shaffner, a former standout athlete for Marshall and a newcomer to the CCC Men's League who will be a player teams won't want to play before season's end. In the other match, former Casey Open and CCC Club Champion Landry Huisinga had a little more of a battle than he expected from another newcomer in Michael Chism. Chism took him to the last hole before losing a nail biter in an impressive first outing.

Markwell Funeral Home (A/B) 1
Bolin Enterprises (A/B) 1

--This group had one of the closer matches with former CCC President Mike "Bo" Bohannon returning to the links to take on Billy "Belt" Sanders with the two shooting impressive net 37 and 38 respectively. In the "B" match, Jeremy "Jimmy" Hendrix shot a net 34 in sliding past Dalton "Pebble" Brooke and giving Markwell that point.

Snedeker Insurance (A/B) 2
BP Coins (A/B) 0
--Snedeker got off to a hot start here, led by Gene "Coach" Vidoni who blistered the CCC with a net 31 to open league play. Coach looks like he could still suit up again from his college years as he continues to defy Father Time. He was backed up nicely by Rick Hacker (the perfect last name for golf!) who did everything but hack the ball around with a salty net 32 to get his match win against a struggling Trey "T-Bone" Huisinga.

Team Stoutin (A/B) 1
Hometown Butcher Shop (A/B) 1
--Team Stoutin is coming off a magical year and looks to recreate that season again in 2026. Hometown wanted to come out of the gates strong after a slow start in '25. Both got a little of what they wanted in the A/B matches as each team got a win. Ron Snyder shot a net 32 and needed every bit of that great round to just get past Dave Davis. In the other match, Zach Tipsword, who dominated the closest to the pin last season, picked up where he left off with some great play in taking down Randy "Thurman" Munson.

Sparks Auto Care (A/B) 1
Darad Inc (B/C) 1
--Sparks Auto Care is a new sponsor, taking over from Niebrugge Optometry, but with the same impressive roster intact. Derek "Leather" Belt came out of the gates smoking hot shooting a net 32 to overwhelm Ethan "Ex" Hale. Hale is up-and-coming but didn't have his best stuff on this night. In the other match, wily veteran "Mean" Dean Blievernicht looked sharp in shooting a net 30 in slipping past "Hot" Rod Sparks.

New Heights Crane Service (C/D) 2
Markwell Funeral Home (C/D) 0
--Markwell ran into a couple of young guns who have vastly improved from last year. Owen Ramsey and Kieffer Julius both took low net honors for the week shooting incredible net 27's in stunning Colin "Curly" Neal (who played well himself with a net 31) and Josh Stivers. Markwell has a history of starting slow and surging late so they're expected to be right in the mix at the end of the day.

BP Coins (C/D) 2
Bolin Enterprises (C/D) 0
--BP Coins welcomed a fresh face in former standout CW athlete Cody Hollensbe who got to take on another good athlete from his HS years in Drew Bolin. Hollensbe got the best of Bolin on this night notching a victory in his first ever league match. Randy Austin "Powers" helped BP sweep the C/D matches with a well-played net 33 in besting Taylor Wallace.

Team Stoutin (C/D) 1.5
Snedeker Insurance (C/D) .5
--One of these matches was our first tie of the year as Glen "Iceman" Isley and Zac "Attack" Richardson both netted impressive scores of net 34 and 33 respectively in their back and forth battle. Bill "live and die by the" Tipsword continues to impress in league with a net 32 to get the win over Dick Hawkins who actually shot a better score (net 31) in the loss.

Hometown Butcher Shop (C/D) 1.5
Sparks Auto Care (C/D) .5
--This group produced our second tie of the week as Kenneth Munson and Drake "Garden of" Edens looked in mid-season form with a net 36 and net 34 respectively. Chad Erickson took the other match as he took down John Murphy to get Hometown's 2nd win of the night.

The low net point of the week went to Snedeker Insurance as they shot net 31-32-31-34 for a team total of 128.

Closest to the Pin: Randy Munson
Longest Putt: Billy Sanders
Low net (Individuals): Kieffer Julius/Owen Ramsey net 27's

Standings after week 1:

Snedeker Insurance 3.5
Team Stoutin 2.5
Hometown Butcher Shop 2.5
BP Coins 2
Sparks Auto Care 1.5
Darad Inc 1
Markwell Funeral Home 1
