To our Triangle family,
Welcoming you into our spaces, these past 13 years, to celebrate life’s big events with food and drink and dessert from every corner of the globe, has been our greatest joy and honor.
Reimagining hospitality as a curbside community grocery hub or a pay-what-you-can brunch or whatever the moment required, was a challenge, but one we loved figuring out together.
Whether our paths first crossed at bu•ku in downtown Raleigh, at so•ca in the Village District, or here at kō•än, in Cary (or any of the many spaces in between), we will forever miss this version of us.
Whatever comes next will be very different. The world has changed, our industry’s landscape has forever changed, because that’s what worlds and industries do.
What comes next will be different, and therefore exciting and fun and a bit unconventional. Human beings with wild new ideas that sound crazy at first, are the variables that can make broken equations work again. We need to encourage them.
To our friends who are living in a successful pivot right now, whether it’s a start-up neighborhood nano-brewery, a farm to table converted car wash or a nightclub running nine ghost kitchens overnight, we see you and we’ll be by to celebrate and support your wildest new invention, because no matter how weird or wonky it gets, when it’s done from the right place, you can always taste the love.
Thank you for supporting us, all these years. We’ll never forget it. We love you.
