This is the drink that first got me on the bourbon bandwagon... I used to keep pretty safe distance from bourbon. For that reason, it’s a relatively signficant drink in my cocktail journey.

It's a bit of a take on a mint julep. When I first met the drink it was called "The Pimlico" (The Pimlico is a race track in Baltimore where the Preakness Stakes is run.... Baltimore's equivalent of The Kentucky Derby). It was named after a dude from Baltimore who requested this drink when I was working at a bar in Santa Barbara, CA.

When I moved back to Wilmington, I added a twist, started making it with Bulleit Rye and called it "The Gaucho". Get it?... "Gaucho"... Spanish for "cowboy", Bulleit… gun, cowboy… O.k. tenuous at best.... but it's my show ;)

Whether you call it "The Pimlico" or "The Gaucho" it makes no difference... it's sooooo good... and if you're into mint juleps, you'll dig this.

It's Friday, the sun is out-to-play down here on Pleasure Island and this drink just felt right.

It's the Bourbon Peach Smash and it's one of my all time favorite cocktails. It's probably one of the best tasting drinks for the least amount of work that I've ever made.

This is one you'll want to have in your cocktail repertoire... especially if you like bourbon, and if you don't like bourbon, try one of these... if you still don't like bourbon... you probably never will!

Do NOT do this!! REALLY bad idea!

My buddy brought me this bottle of Absinthe (thanks Big Jim!)... the real stuff, which can be pretty hard to get here in the States... so I had to do this one!

It's called The Lost & Found and it's one of my all time favorite cocktails.

I know what you’re thinking… Absinthe!! Really!?!

The key is to treat it with respect (do NOT do what I did in this video… BAD IDEA!!), using it to provide a background flavor… The Absinthe flavor is more of whisper… you know it’s there, but it’s not in your face.

You’re gonna have to trust me on this one.

It's called The "Beetened & Burned" .With Halloween right around the corner, I thought I’d mix up something special for the occassion… a spicy hot, blood red margarita!

If you’re into spicy, you’ll love it, but if heat isn’t your thing, you should be afraid… very afraid! I’m not even joking…my reaction at the end of this video is the real deal!

A shout-out to my Dad for giving me a few Jalapenos from his garden… thanks Dad!
