Lugano Swiss Bistro and Nargis Lengacher announce the 7th Annual Oktoberfest Monterey Bay
“The largest fun fare & historical Bavarian Culture Festival on the Central Coast”. The Founder of our area’s Oktoberfest, the now late Chef Andre said it best, “To me, Oktoberfest is a great time of camaraderie, beer, dancing, Lederhosen, fun...it’s just fun. It’s all about the experience!”
“This year’s event will be very special as we honor Andre and bring the festival back to its birth place at the Barnyard where his other baby, Lugano Swiss Bistro has been a prominent restaurant for 23 years. “Andre’s Oktoberfest celebrates its German heritage with Oompah at its best with live music, beer, food and Miss Oktoberfest(Saturday) & Miss Jr. Oktoberfest (Sunday) We welcome back “The Internationals” from San Francisco who play all the European dance favorites. Hofbrau Beer with Chrissa Imports is sponsoring our Beer Stein holding contest on Saturday and Alvarado Street Brewery & Grill is sponsoring our Beer Keg 4 person team relay races on Sunday. Nargis explains, “to continue Andre’s strong legacy and commitment to helping the community, Oktoberfest 2017 welcomes its non-profit collaborator and beneficiary. Net proceeds from the event are designated to the Monterey County Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
