Before the wine. Before the tasting room. Before Big Sur Vineyards.

There was the ocean.

I spent years as an underwater documentary filmmaker diving with some of the most magnificent creatures on the planet. This photo was taken by the legendary cinematographer Howard Hall — he gave me this print as a gift and it has hung in our tasting room since the day we opened.
That tiny diver next to the whale shark? That is me. 🌊
To everyone who ever dove into the unknown alongside me — thank you.

You made me wild by nature. And that wildness is in every bottle of BSV wine. 🍷

Happy Saturday! Sharing the Story about Anthony Frijia who is on his way to Big Sur Vineyards. Texted with him yesterday and he was in Yosemite (remember he left Maryland about a week ago!) and he will be here next friday to get the party going for its 10th Annivsary weekend long celebration!
