Happy Easter to all of our customers.
He has Risen 🙏🌟
Kielbasa was one of my favorite things to eat around the holiday and I’m humbled that my kielbasa gets to be apart of your family gathering with loved ones. ❤️
My family, friends and I have never made this much kielbasa before and it still wasn’t enough to supply everyone. For that I’m sorry for who did not get a ring. For the new customers I’m a full time middle school teacher, a kielbasa enthusiast when younger and full time father. In my 20’s I traveled all over the Eastern side of PA to try all the mom and pop shops. From Shenandoah, Nanticoke, Philadelphia, Duryea, Wilkes-Barre, Waymart, Blakely and others. To my taste buds Oprisko’s had the best original Polish smoked kielbasa. I got lucky enough to over hear Kenny Oprisko say he was selling to a company in New York, when I was buying my Easter kielbasa in 2016. My family and I convinced Kenny to sell to us and keep the tradition local. I used what he taught me to make the regular smoked but have expanded to 17 flavors, with people calling me the mad scientist of smoked meat. I love ❤️ that the community enjoys my creations and the original outdoor smoked tradition. But I need to say that I can only make 300 lbs a night and we were open for 8 weeks before Easter. I had many people upset we didn’t have flavors or anything to sell them on Good Friday. If you want flavors you have to come weeks before a holiday. I only ever concentrate on the regular smoked for the tradition the last week. If you come late to the party, thousands of people getting their kielbasa faster than you, there is nothing I can do. We are a small business and I’m not going to kill myself or family to make more money. It was always about the love for doing the kielbasa the true old fashioned way. It’s why the product taste so good. We put our product in a freezer bag to protect it in the fridge and freezer, for you. The smart people come weeks before a holiday to get all of their flavors filled. Just want to help those for the future.
Also shipping is very limited and takes too much time away from making the kielbasa. There is a place called Leonard’s kielbasa market in Wilkes-Barre that ships all year long. They also have good kielbasa.
We will be making again in mid June through the 4th of July. The smoked rings and our famous summer time kielbasa Pattie’s for the grills.
Have a Blessed Easter Holiday
