🚨BIG NEWS SWFL: Scotty’s Bierwerks Reaches Exciting Production and Licensing Agreement with LaBelle Brewing to Keep Beloved Local Brews Flowing in Southwest Florida

We are pleased to announce a new mash up with LaBelle Brewing Company that will ensure Scotty’s fan-favorite beers remain available to beer lovers throughout Southwest Florida. This collaboration underscores the spirit of local businesses lifting one another up, especially during times of transition.

When we (Scotty’s) recently lost our lease on our Industrial Circle taproom, Scott Melick, our brewery’s founder and principal brewer had to close the doors. To keep Scotty’s popular beers on taps all over Cape Coral and Ft Myers, Scotty has shared our recipes with LaBelle Brewing Company to continue brewing the Scotty Bierwerks' signature lineup, including the Hazy IPA and Irish Red Ale. Suncoast Beverage will continue to distribute Scotty’s locally loved beers to keep them on tap at participating bars, restaurants, and venues across the region.

“Scotty’s has always been about community, friendship, and great beer,” said Dan Peregrin of LaBelle Brewing. “While we work to secure a new Cape Coral location to serve as Scotty’s next neighborhood gathering place, LaBelle Brewing will keep Scotty’s craft alive in accordance with Scotty’s specifications and quality standards. We will continue serving the fans who’ve supported the Scotty’s Bierwerks brand from day one.”

LaBelle Brewing, known for its dedication to producing beautiful beer in Southwest Florida, shares Scotty’s commitment to strengthening the local craft beer scene. “We’re happy to support a fellow local brewer and ensure Scotty’s Bierwerks remains part of local craft beer options,” said Garrett Kersey, of LaBelle Brewing. “This is what the Florida beer community is all about.”

Though our physical Scotty’s Bierwerks taproom has closed, our refreshing and innovative brews that brought our community and neighbors together will continue to pour all across Southwest Florida. Thank you for sticking with us & we can't wait to see where this new chapter leads!

🍺 This is it. Today is the last day. The last HOORAH! Let’s go out with a BANG! Shall we? Some key notes first:

Today we will be open from 1pm till the taproom is empty of customers. That means we’ll be open late late!! We are here and ready to spend the day with all of you. Seize all the moments and create unforgettable last ditch memories ❤️‍🩹🍻

WE ARE SOLD OUT OF CANS TO-GO. 🚨 Bring a Growler from home to fill-up so you can still take some beers to-go!🚨 we do not have growler containers, but we CAN fill them!

We have KEGS for sale! 1/6 barrels and 1/2 barrels! Stock up your kegorator at home, let Scotty’s live on for a little longer on tap at home & snag a keg! (Christmas is around the corner, if you don’t have a kegerator, it’s a great ‘top of the list’ item for your gift list!

We will have a mega sale on bottles of wine! Everything must go! 🍷

You guys are amazing! Wednesday was a whilrwind of years worth of patrons coming out to pick up their last piece of Scotty’s history. Our MERCH is flying out of here! Steins, tees, long sleeves, tin tackers, stickers etc!! It’s your last chance to take something home to remember us by today!

It only feels right they’re here to send us off!! Thank you both for being here with us through this wild ride!

Where do I even begin? Year after year, I’ve logged onto this page to share daily specials, new brews, and the weekly Brewmaster cat pic. Today, I log on to share something profoundly different… something that is incredibly hard to put into words through the tears, but I will try. (this post will not be short, you have been warned).

As many of you know, our beloved owner and founder Scotty has been preparing for a well-deserved retirement. He has brewed the best beers in the Cape year atfer year, built a brand everyone can recognize from a mile away, and a community that is unparalleled.

We worked tirelessly, believing we found the perfect successor right under our noses: one of our very own brewmasters, who was ready to step up and carry the Scotty's brand forward in Cape Coral for years to come.

& While everything seemed picture-perfect, we have simply run out of time and options. Despite fighting the good fight and our best efforts, lease negotiations have reached a complete standstill.

It is with profound sadness, and the heaviest of hearts, that we must announce we are closing our doors indefinitely at the end of the day this Friday, November 28th.

Scotty's Bierwerks has been an enormous part of the Cape Coral and Southwest Florida brewing community for almost nine years. It's so much more than just a brewery; it is a home away from home. If you know, you know.

It has been the place where you celebrated life milestones, where countless lifelong friendships and relationships started over a pint, and where you spent countless nights unwinding and catching up. We’ve watched your food trucks, music careers, businesses and families start, grow, and flourish. We’ve watched our community flourish. We are truly all family now.

It has been an incredible honor to be a part of the Scotty’s Bierwerks crew for all these years. We are devastated to close these doors knowing we will not share these daily moments with you any longer, but the memories… they are all we have left, and they will live on.

With every ounce of love we can offer, we ask you to stop by the Taproom for a final farewell:
