It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of Kelly’s Gingernut Pub, we have loved being a part of the Cape Charles community since we first opened our doors on July 3, 2006. For nearly two decades Kelly’s has been more than just a pub—it has been a gathering place and a home away from home for so many.

While this is a bittersweet farewell, we are incredibly grateful for the time we’ve had and the support we’ve received over the years. Closing was not an easy decision, but as we pass the torch to the new ownership, we do so with gratitude for all of you who made Kelly’s what it is today.

Our final day of service will be December 31st, and we hope you’ll join us in celebrating the memories we’ve shared. Additionally, we will be hosting a farewell auction on January 4th at 4:30 PM. Tickets are $10 at the door and include your choice of one bar drink. We’ll be auctioning off a variety of items, from wall pictures that tell the story of Kelly’s to furniture like chairs and tables.

We’d love to see as many of you as possible to help us send Kelly’s Gingernut Pub off in style. Your support has meant the world to us, and we hope to raise a glass with you one last time. Thank you for 18 incredible years—Cape Charles will always hold a special place in our hearts. ♥️
