This morning the Nobel Prize in Economics was awarded to Claudia Goldin for "having advanced our understanding of women's labour market outcomes". Dr. Goldin is a leading figure in both Labor Economics and Economic History, with a rigorous and unique approach to empirical economics.

In conjunction with the College of Business Global and Ethical Awareness Committee, the WT Economics Club will be meeting today (April 13th) at 1:00 PM in CC 433. Pizza and sodas will be provided (as well as rice krispy treats!). Dr. Ralph Ferguson, from Texas Tech University will be presenting on ethics and value neutral management. This is relevant to many questions regarding banking topics that Dr. Mattson has brought up in ECON 4312, Money and Banking, regarding bank runs and failures and regulation. Please join us if you are able.
