ALERT MUST READ ‼️‼️
🚨 CORVA MEMBER ALERT 🚨
We need your voice on California AB 1613.
First and foremost, let’s clear up a common misconception:
⚠️ The CORVA Board did NOT write, author, sponsor, or introduce AB 1613.
AB 1613 was introduced by Assemblymember Lori Wilson. CORVA’s role is to represent our members throughout the legislative process, and we can only do that if we know where YOU stand.
Here’s why this matters:
📌 Beginning January 1, 2029, anyone 16 years or older would be required to complete a safety course and carry an operator card to legally access OHV lands.
📌 This requirement would apply not only to dirt bikes, quads, and side-by-sides, but also to street-legal vehicles such as Jeeps, trucks, and SUVs when operated off-highway.
📌 The OHV Division could establish a course fee, and the course may be offered online.
CORVA has the ability to submit comments and advocate for amendments on behalf of our members, but we need your feedback first.
