jackio ( ) is a Los Angeles based supergroup, performing throughout the area since 2015.
The four seasoned musicians specialize in the exploration, deconstruction, and occasionally the reconstruction of great songs of their own making, as well as from others. As a bassist/producer, John Avila ()has recorded, produced, or performed with numerous acts such as Oingo Boingo, Neil Young, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan and Steve Bartek () is a Los Angeles-based musician, orchestrator and composer.
Originally playing flute and writing songs with The Strawberry Alarm Clock as a teenager, Steve went on to play lead guitar with Oingo Boingo. As an orchestrator, he has worked on over a hundred films, television and concert pieces for Danny Elfman (). As a composer of his own, Steve has scored several films and television shows. Ira Ingber () is a guitarist, singer, producer, studio engineer and composer based in Los Angeles. Having worked with musicians such as Captain Beefheart, Lowell George, J.D. Souther, Karla Bonoff, Jennifer Warnes, Andrew Gold, Bonnie Raitt and Bob Dylan.
David Raven () is a drummer, singer and composer.
Raven has recorded or performed with Keith Richards, Mike Ness, Shelby Lynne, John Doe, Steve Earle, Norah Jones, Jim Lauderdale, Greg Ginn (of Black Flag), Meat Puppets, Dave Alvin, Tonio K, The Mutaytor, Don Was, The Surfaris, Carol King, Lucinda Williams, and many more. Poster by
