Do you know the difference between an East coast and West Coast IPA? Typically, a West coast IPA has a dry finish and leans heavily on bitter flavors, while an East Coast IPA often has a sweeter forward note that fades into a bitter, hoppy, finish.

A beer with an alcohol content of 5% or less is normally part of the light beer family like a Lager or Pilsner. If it?s 5% to 7%, it?s starting to get stronger, like your IPAs or Red Ales. Once you?ve broken 8%, 9% or even 10%, you?re drinking a high alcohol content beer like an Imperial IPA, a Tripel, or Barleywine. It?s important to know the effect of what you?re drinking.
