As Onyx Bistro’s lease comes to an end, I want to take this time to thank you all for your continued support of my passion and dreams with my very first restaurant.
At the end of the day the true dream of building something that was my own and bringing that special feeling back to then dinner table was successful! Unfortunately the nature of the hospitality industry has changed drastically over the years and I took a big risk starting a business at the tail end of a pandemic. We persevered through the hard times of the Covid and the aftermath of it, we won awards for our food at both Casa Pacifica & Taste of Camarillo, we were nominated to be on ABC’s “Community Eats” segment on tv, we have made life time connections with our community and brought endless smiles to the dining room of our bistro. I think its safe to say we did exactly what we set out to do and more!
It is a bittersweet decision for my partner Will Smith-Wruck and I not to renew our lease at the bistro. We have several other projects and dreams in the works that we want to pursue. It has also been difficult being so far away from our families, we have missed many holidays and birthdays with them in order to keep the bistro afloat. We have decided to step away from the restaurant industry at this time so we can focus on our health, well being and spend more time with our family & friends.
A HUGE shout out to my employees, past and present who made it all possible! So many incredible individuals who matched my passion for exceptional food, service & community. I couldn’t have made this far without each and every one of you by my side.
THIS IS NOT GOODBYE, THIS IS SEE YOU LATER! A NEW BUSINESS IS UNDERWAY!!

Thank you and we hope to see you soon at Onyx Bistro before we close. Our last day of business will be Satruday May 30th 2026. In the mean time we will continue to conduct business as usual with live music on the weekends, happy hour each day we are open, daily chef specials and a welcoming space to enjoy it all in.
