Working diligently over the last two days to sulfur and top up the cabernet and zinfandel barrels based on ETS results from last week.

Going to the winery this morning to take barrel samples! We need to make sure the free SO2 (sulfur) levels are just high enough to protect the wine as it ages.

While MX Wines is usually a two person operation (Margaux + Intern, or MX+1), harvest is definitely one of those times when we have to rely heavily on the help of others... and some of these "others" are our dear friends! Harvest is an exhilarating time, a whirlwind of activity, a high-stress environment, and a very exhausting day. Yet as soon as it is over, we can't wait for it to happen again next year!
