On April 18, 2026 Bill Dyer, founder, grower and winemaker at Dyer Vineyard passed away.

There are no words to express the depth of our loss but we wanted to let you know. He leaves behind his wife, partner, and best friend Dawnine to carry on his legacy.

A celebration of life will be held this summer and we’ll share details at a later date.

A couple who are loyal mailing list customers were dining at Thomas Keller's Per Se in NYC and sent us this screen shot from the wine list. Pretty awesome to be one of two reds available by the glass, not to mention being in such good company! And they bought two glasses (of the less expensive one)!

Our recent harvest was the 50th Napa Valley grape harvest for both of us. Our first was 1974, which turned out to be one of the great Napa Valley Cab vintages, and our early assessment of our 2023 Cab in the barrel is that this vintage may also end up being among the greatest.

Josh Jenson, who created Calera, passed recently. Besides being a visionary in the the wine world, he was just such a nice member of our species. We loved running into him at the Taos Ski Valley Winter Wine Festival and taking a few runs on

the slopes with him.
