Our hearts are heavy this morning for our friends and neighbors at **The Cadiz Restaurant**.
For more than six decades, their restaurant has been part of the fabric of this community. Behind those doors are owners who have poured their lives into a business, employees who depend on it for their livelihood, and generations of memories made around those tables.
We are incredibly thankful that everyone made it out safely, and we are praying for the Henry family, their staff, and everyone affected as they face the difficult days ahead.
We also hope this can be a moment when our community remembers who we are supposed to be.
It has been painful to see some responses to this tragedy that seem to celebrate or make light of another person's loss. Whatever disagreements, opinions, or experiences we may have with one another, surely they can be set aside when our neighbors are hurting.
We are a community that talks often about faith. This is when we get the opportunity to live it.
**“Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” — Proverbs 18:21**
May our words today bring life. May they offer compassion instead of cruelty, encouragement instead of judgment, and hope to people who desperately need it.
From all of us at ** The Red Brick Inn & Boyd's Tavern**, we are mourning with our neighbors at The Cadiz Restaurant, praying for you, and hoping to see your doors open and your tables full again soon. ❤️
