A letter from THE BUTTER BAR founder Cher Bear;
Hello my Butter Lovers. I hope this finds you well and ready for the weekend!
Let me extend my heartfelt gratitude for your support. I have to admit, I am a little anxious about this new venture... I mean, I have had five of my closest friends say to me "when I first saw that you were opening another business, my first thought was 'oh s**t, here she goes again!'" But after talking to me and seeing, or hearing, the excitement in my voice, and really thinking about the concept, they agreed, this will be a huge success! Another thought going around my inner circle is: "BUTTER? It's so fattening and so bad for you!" And I've thought a great deal about this. Yes, I am going to try and sell you something that could potentially be... not so healthy. After all, it's right after the New Year when everyone is still on their New Year's diets. But here's the thing. Like salt, sugar, fat... ANY and EVERY thing in large heaping portions has the potential to be bad for you. On the other hand, who DOESN'T love butter? Don't lie. You know you love it- I won't tell! I mean seriously, it's not like you're going to be eating it straight off the spoon (well, maybe you will, but again, i won't tell!). Enjoy it in small portions, and enjoy the heck out of it!!
I bet you weren't aware that THE BUTTER BAR makes every single butter by hand... and that by doing so, it will give my clients the option to choose from salter or unsalted butter, organic or regular butter, fresh ingredients like herbs, fruits, kitchen cooked bacon, or processed... YOU HAVE THE CHOICE; you always have choices with me. My husband always makes fun of me because when we eat out, I never order my dish exactly as listed on the menu. There is always some tweak I give the server, and my husband God love him, smiles every time. And I am extending the same option to you; you can ask me to make it with healthier option ingredients, and I will happily oblige.
Final question: why make something that anyone can make in their kitchen? Yes, you can make any and all of these yourself... but why?? Who wants to spend the extra cash, pull out the 5-10 ingredients and spend an extra 20 minutes throwing together a food accompaniment- when you can simply reach for your BUTTER BAR jar? I'll do all the hard work and you can benefit. I promise, IT IS WORTH IT!
As far as me opening another business (maybe you don't know, but I am a professional photographer in my 'other life' ;) ), here's my take. I am a creative thinker. I love to do, make, create- these things make me happy. I am always busy, moving... looking for new ways to let my creative energies flow. And i always want to share my ideas, give my creations away so that anyone who receives them feels the positive happiness I feel when making it.
I have a child, a beautiful little girl; she's ten and full of energy, like me. She's always singing, playing sports, making up concoctions in the kitchen with anything she can find... I want to show her that if you keep creating, keep thinking outside of the box, just keep going- that you'll get someplace great- but I also want her to know that (like the saying), it's not only about where you're going, but how you get there. And I am 'getting there' by having fun, doing things that I love, and sharing it with great, wonderful people.
So I hope you'll join me on this fun and exciting adventure. Thanks for reading and spending a little time getting to know me. I want you to know who this scrumptious deliciousness is coming from
