Charm, Community Heritage Alliance of Rural Maine CHARM is a tax exempt 501(c)3 corporation. CHARM is registered as a non-profit and licensed to accept charitable donations within the State of Maine.

CHARM was formed in the summer of 2011 to save community buildings and spaces that matter.Because CHARM was no longer an active group as such, the name has been changed to Bear Hill Church Preservatio and all changes registered with IRS and State of Maine We are a community volunteers dedicated to preserving and conserving community spaces that matter. Notice of Site Walk
and Public Hearing
The Hollis Planning Board has received an application for a Conditional Use Permit for a restaurant and store to be located at 536 River Road, the old Hollis High School building.
On Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at 6:30 PM, the Hollis Planning Board will be conducting a site walk at this location.
Following the site walk, 7:00 PM at the Hollis Community Building, the Planning Board will be holding its regular meeting, which will begin with a Public Hearing regarding the above Conditional Use Permit.
All residents of Hollis are welcome and encouraged to attend both the site walk and the public hearing. For further information,

Several months of town labor during tough times 85 years ago in Buxton were reduced to a pile of rubble in one day on Tuesday when the Samuel D. Hanson School was demolished.

The building, which had not been used since 2010, was listed on Maine Preservation's list of most endangered historic properties in 2011.
