Happy Chinese New Year! 🐴🎉

Did you know that Butte once had the largest Chinatown between Minneapolis and Seattle? At its peak, over 2,500 Chinese residents called Butte home - making it the greatest concentration of Chinese people away from the coast!

Chinese New Year was a MAJOR celebration in early Butte, and that tradition continues today! This Saturday, our friends at the Mai Wah Society & Museum are hosting a parade and reception celebrating the Year of the Horse - known for being hardworking, independent, and adventurous. Sounds pretty Butte to us!
