🎻 Music in the Mountains is tonight 🪕

Since 1985, the Music in the Mountains Folk Festival has showcased traditional Appalachia music. This event is sponsored by Toe River Arts Council and includes bluegrass and traditional music, ballad singers, and dancing.

5pm- Introduction and Welcome
5:10pm- Performance by Rob Levin, William Ritter, Robin Dreyer
5:50pm- Performance by Donna Ray Norton
6:35pm- Performance by the Geneva Hall Stomper

We're honored to be partnering with these folks to host a community night event here on Friday, Sept. 25, marking the anniversary of Helene 🙌

Murphy Campbell will headline this benefit concert with her full band, along with several other local entertainers and storytellers like Caleb Grindstaff and William Ritter.

Extreme Weather Survivors is purchasing enough food and beverages for the first 200 guests. Doors open at 6:30 and music begins around 7PM.

If you're still in need of infrastructure work around your property — such as a washed-out bridge or road — representatives from Rebuilding Hollers and The Beacon Network will be on site to answer questions and help connect you with available resources.

We will also have a donation option for anyone who wishes to contribute to these local groups, who remain busy as ever with rebuilding projects two years after the storm.
