By 1918 the temperance movement and impending prohibition made the legal production of liquor unprofitable and eventually unsustainable for the Buffalo Distilling Co. During that time many makers headed out to the hills to do what they do. formally started again in the hills outside the city limits on our "whiskey farm" where we stoked the coals nearly 100 years later to proudly bring you the finest hand crafted Bourbon and Brandy and the re-birth of the original Buffalo Distilling Company. We are licensed makers and we ferment and distill every drop we produce. WARNING: If your favorite new brand does not say "Distilled by" somewhere on the bottle, there is a good chance that brand does not really make their spirits. Beware of crafty "crafted by" and "bottled by" producers. Our spirits are hand made in small batches using the best natural ingredients Western New York farmers and growers offer - twice distilled and bottled in our Distillery in Buffalo's Larkinville neighborhood.
