Black Intelligent Ladies Alliance LGBT Social Networking Organization We were established in January of 2009 with five members.

During our formation process we became acquainted with each other to learn the roles for each position in the group. Our mission was not established at the present time due to our formation process. Throughout the year of 2009 we were able to define our mission and vision of the group based upon the activities that we sponsored for the SGLBTQ community. The city of Buffalo has limited resources fo

r the Black SGLBTQ community. With the formation of Black Intelligent Ladies Alliance, we shall be able to add more resources for the Black SGLBTQ communities that our city was limited to. We are located in Buffalo, New York and operates as Not-for-Profit Black women’s diversity organization group. We are self funded and tend to find sponsors who will sponsor our organization.

The Owners of Sweets Lounge and Restaurant will be in the Pride Parade under BILA (Black Intelligent Ladies Alliance). We want you all to join us in the parade and have some fun with us. You do not have to be LGBTQ to participate. You can show support by being with us and celebrating with us. Shownus some love folks.

Wednesday Kicking off Pride with Karaoke at Sweets. 730pm-1130pm Come on out my Rainbow family. Lets sing...

Thursday we will have a meet and greet with P***k It Bucket drink 6pm-midnight

Friday we take off on the water on the Grand Lady Cruise Boat 6pm take off is at 630pm. Located at 275 Ganson St Buffalo 14203. Get your tickets if you have not at Sweets Lounge at 2 Schreck Avenue they are $40 with cash bar. After Party at Sweets.

Saturday is the ALL WHITE ATTIRE party located in the Cleve Hill Plaza at 1455 Kensington Ave Buffalo NY 14215 from 7pm-11pm. Tickets are $25 it includes a signature drink and dinner.

Sunday is the Pride Parade. Starts at 11am. Meet us in the Red Zone of Buffalo State College to join us or just be on the sideline of Elmwood and watch us have a time of our lifetime.

Omidara Eugenia Edwards Adeleke aka Gena aka Quick had a vision. Her vision was to join forces with many to open the 1st LGBTQ Homeless shelter. Gena was once homeless due to her sexual orientation and felt left out in the world to nowhere to go to. So she wanted this shelter for other LGBTQ that may have faced what she went thru.She linked up with many, learned how to write grants, and then began to meet with others to start the formation of her vision. Well Gena aka Quick got sick and God called her home in 2023. Her strive and determination was so deep that others continued Gena's vision. Marek Phillip Parker has worked with Gena on those visions prior to her passing, but obstacles arised and things were put on hold temporary. Marek kept her dream (vision) going and started forming committee meetings to make progress. Recently Marek reached out to BILA and informed us that the name of this homeless shelter will be named after Gena calling it the Eugenia Homeless Shelter. I may have not said the name right but Eugenia is in there. Thanks to Genas determination, strive, and the people she shared her vision with for naming the New LGBTQ shelter after our Black Intelligent Ladies Alliance Bruhther Quick aka Eugenia. May her soul be at rest and peace. Im proud of you bruh.
