A little day trip from Taipei for anyone who loves ceramics!

Yingge Ceramics Old Street is one of Taiwan’s best known pottery districts, filled with everything from teaware and handmade cups to plates, bowls, and modern ceramics.

I came looking for teaware inspiration and ended up wanting half the tableware too!

It’s also much easier to get to now thanks to the new Sanying MRT Line (三鶯線), making Yingge a really convenient day trip from Taipei.

Such a fun place to browse if you’re into tea, design, or tableware!

Taipei has no shortage of amazing tea spots, so I’m checking out as many as I can while I’m here!

One of my favorite things about being back in Taiwan is seeing how tea culture continues to evolve.

First up: MUSHIN NOSHIN 無心之心 - a modern tea house where you choose a mood card to help guide your tea selection.

I’ll be sharing more Taipei tea spots while I’m here. Any favorites I should add to the list?

What happens when you put four tea powders to a blind taste test? 🍵👀

Last week, we invited friends to taste four teas side by side - three green tea matchas and one surprise oolong tea powder.

No labels, no expectations. Just plenty of opinions.

The reactions might have been our favorite part!

Which one would you want to try?

Why cold brew?

Kiko shares why it’s one of his favorite ways to enjoy tea, especially during the warmer months.

Simple to prepare, refreshing, and always ready in the fridge.

Everyone has their preferred way to enjoy tea. What’s yours?

And now, we pour!

After an overnight cold brew, our oolong is ready to enjoy.

Cold brewing brings out a smooth, refreshing character with very little effort - just tea, water, and time.

An easy way to experience oolong a little differently, especially on a warm day.

Have you tried cold brewing oolong?

A little patience makes for a refreshing cup. 🍃

Cold brewing tea slowly extracts its flavors overnight, creating a smooth, refreshing brew with very little effort.

Into the fridge it goes. Tomorrow, we pour.

From taste testing to simply enjoying. 🍵

We’ve been spending a lot of time with matcha lately, and today we’re keeping it simple: matcha, milk, stir, enjoy.

But matcha isn’t the only tea we enjoy in powdered form…

Oolong tea powder is up next. 👀🍃

Packing a little something for our matcha taste testers. 🍵

We’ve been tasting and comparing three different matchas, each with its own flavor, aroma and character.

For our next tasting, everyone will get to experience all three side by side and take home samples to enjoy again afterward!

We can’t wait to see which one becomes the favorite. 👀🍵

Not everything in our gardens becomes tea.

Hibiscus is one of the other crops we grow in our family gardens. Once harvested and dried, the flowers steep into a naturally vibrant ruby-red infusion with a bright, tart flavor.

Simple, refreshing, and just as beautiful poured over ice as it is served hot.

A different kind of harvest. 🌺
