A movie palace got its projectors back.

The Alex Theatre on Brand Boulevard in Glendale opened in 1925 and seats roughly 1,400. Owner and artistic director Miles Williams put a 35mm and 70mm changeover booth into it in under two months, removing several rows of seats to make the room.

Premium large-format projectionist Taylor Umphenour oversaw the install and tested it on the first reel of Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey'. Williams told ABC7, 'Almost everyone I met told me that they used to come see the movies here when they were kids.'
