Originally opened in Beautiful coastal Maine in 2002, Mac’s Pub was the watering hole for basketball enthusiasts in southern ME to celebrate many BHS Hoops victories. Founding members included Michael “Mac” McCaffrey, Todd “The Mayor” Hanson, Jeremy “Badger” Bate, Clint “Wolf Man” Mims, Fred “Coach” Koerber and Adam “The Intern” Carron. Mac’s Pub closed its Maine doors in 2005 but relocated to Sou
thern New Jersey in the same yr. While still hosting many sporting event gatherings in the suburban neighborhood of Swedesboro, The official Mac’s Pub Fight Club was born. “Captain” Lou Ruggio and Sean “No Contest”Jones joined “Pops” McCaffrey and “Super” Doug Meidel for many UFC PPV’s and Spike TV Ultimate Fight Nights. While both the Maine and New Jersey chapters are fondly remembered, it was time to head south in 2009. Mac’s Pub opened just outside Charlottesville VA and upgraded significantly. Mac’s Pub VA has continued with Fight Club and also has hosted Sunday Football BBQs, New Years Eve, Super Bowl, and its annual Final Four Party. The Flagship Final Four Party is the one event a year that connects all the Mac’s Pub patrons from ME, NJ and VA. Virginia Pub regulars “Papa” Kos, “Neighbor Steve”, The Ferz, Scottie Meiss, Murph and LaRo carried on the tradition of good food, better drinks, and the best of times, but after all the fun and adventure down the East Coast it was destined that Mac's Pub would eventually return home to Maine. Mac's Pub Bangor opened in March of 2014 just in time for the Annual Final Four gathering. While smaller in size it makes up in character and charm. Pieces of each Pub have been incorporated in the latest design including a few new twists. Scott "Dawg", DJ Reid, Sinc, and Pub Sponsor Jay "The Hookup" Neal will join the list of regulars from ME to VA.
