Once upon a time, on a dark and stormy night 10 years ago, a creature of unspeakable terror crept out of our collective unconscious, and slithered into existence, deep in the cellars of a small brewery onto Troutman Street. His name was Freddie the Fish and he was hungry.…

With our upcoming 10th Anniversary Weekend NEARLY UPON US (reminder: Sept. 10-12th), we’re bringing back another O.G. smash-hit banger from the vaults. We originally brewed this b**r back in 2016 with our pals from Brewminaries and Bitter & Esters (RIP yo). This was our 13th batch (no joke). We had a terrible stuck mash and took us 13 hours to complete 1 turn (also no joke). The b**r finished at 6.66% abv (again, no joke).

But from that infernal quagmire, a fierce & fearsome WCIPA emerged that we dubbed…

NIGHTMARE ON TROUTMAN STREET • West Coast IPA • 6.66% // The demon from the past has returned! Originally brewed in collaboration with the homebrew superstars from Bitter & Esters and Brewminaries. Piney bitterness & tangy citrus up front from our hand-selected Amarillo, Centennial & Chinook hops, with a light malt base and a ghoulishly dry finish. Old-school crusher. Quite possibly possessed.

Coming at you for this week’s FRESH B**R FRIDAY and now available on draft and in cans-to-go in the KCBC taproom and via DoorDash delivery for those in the zone.

Exactly 10 years ago this week, we kegged up our very first batch of a fruity lil’ sour called BEACH ZOMBIE.

We’d brewed a series of very small test batches earlier that year, before ultimately settling on the winner. The recipe was simple: pilsner malt and flaked wheat, single-step infusion mash, kettle sour overnight w/ lactobacillus, ferment with ale yeast, and add MASSIVE amounts of highest quality strawberry & pink guava that we could find. We made an absolute mess while adding fruit to the b**r that first time around, and we ended up packaging too much excess pulp on a handful of kegs, which caused all kinds of problems with our taproom draft lines. Still, with its unmistakable pink hue and intense flavor, the b**r was a hit right off the bat. We vowed to bring it back every summer.

The following year, Ed the Zombie was “born” when we commissioned Earl Holloway to create some dope label art, inspired by a painting that he’d done, and we put the b**r in 16 oz cans.

Over the years, not much has changed. We’ve refined the process to ensure consistency across every drop that we package, but the basic recipe is exactly the same. The b**r is still incredibly approachable (especially for a ZOMBIE) and extremely fruit-forward. Every spring we eagerly await its arrival.

With the summer of 2026 now beginning to wane, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate the 10th anniversary of this (un)deadly delicious creature. Please join us in the Taproom over the next several weeks as we blow out our remaining stash of cans with our first ever end-of-summer BEACH ZOMBIE SPLATTER SALE! You may think we’ve had our brains eaten by zombies (which, to be fair, is accurate) when you see the deals we’re offering, but the truth is we REALLY love this b**r and want to infect—erm, share it even more with YOU. Whether you’ve already been crushing cans all summer or haven’t yet had a chance to try it, now’s the time to head over the KCBC and stock up!!

Don’t worry; it won’t bite. Probably.

P.S. Speaking of 10 year anniversaries, mark your calendars for Sept. 10-12 and join us as we celebrate 10 YEARS of KCBC, right here in Bushwick!!!!!!!!!!! It’s gonna be EPIC…

Straight outta the graveyard — and just in time for another Fresh B**r Friday — it’s the GOOSE with the JOOSE! 🪲🪿

BEETLEGOOSE • DDH Hazy IPA • 7.2% // Murky yellow haze in the glass, with notes of tangy passionfruit, muddled lime, ripe mango, and a feather-light layer of herbal spice. Fully loaded with our hand-selected Citra, along with a splash of New Zealand Motueka and a sprinkling of neomexicanus Zappa hops. Soft mouthfeel, smooth finish. Guaranteed to put some life in your afterlife.

Available on draft and in cans to go in the Taproom when we open this Friday, and also available for delivery via DoorDash for those in the zone.

Just don’t say it 3 times in a row… 😱😱😱

Bad day at the waste management office? Your mob friends all ghosting you lately? SPAGHETTABOUDIT.

Meaning: come to KCBC and crush one of THESE tasty lil numbers. Inspired of course by the OG Spaghett (shout out to Baltimore) but with a KCBC twist. We take a 20 oz. pour of our always- crispy INFINITE MACHINE Pilsner and we add a shot of RED bitter apertivo from the cool cats at Forthave Spirits.

Drink, rinse, repeat.

It’s got more flavor and complexity than the original PLUS it’s 100% local and waaaay more fun to say. Available year round only in the KCBC Taproom, and particularly enjoyable RIGHT NOW.

Get it. It may not fully cure the August doldrums but daaaaymn it’s delicious.
